Our Story

Hungry Crumbs began in 2024 with a simple idea: cookies should surprise and delight, not just satisfy a sweet tooth. As part of San Francisco’s Vacant to Vibrant program, we transformed an empty downtown space at 215 Fremont Street into a cookie shop unlike any other.

What started as a pop-up quickly turned into a community favorite, known for handcrafted stuffed cookies that are crisp on the outside, soft on the inside, and filled with bold flavors. From the zesty brightness of our Lemon Curd Cookie to the rich indulgence of Pecan Dulce de Leche, every recipe reflects our love for creativity, culture, and craft.

Mo — Co-Founder
Born in Egypt and an immigrant to the U.S., Mo brings his entrepreneurial spirit and passion for building community to Hungry Crumbs. With a background in food ventures across the Bay Area, he focuses on growing the brand, building partnerships, and making sure every cookie leaves an impression.

Kat — Co-Founder & Baker
Originally from Estonia, Kat is the creative force in the kitchen. As an immigrant and self-taught baker, she combines European technique with bold flavors, crafting the signature stuffed cookies that define Hungry Crumbs. Her attention to detail ensures every batch delivers joy, one bite at a time.

Together, Mo and Kat are the heart of Hungry Crumbs—two immigrants chasing a dream, baking cookies that surprise, delight, and connect people across the Bay and beyond.
